India is holding the Presidency of G20, an international forum of 20 members (19 countries & the EU) of the world, from 1st December 2022. During its year-long Presidency, India is hosting several important events under two main tracks of engagement i.e., the Finance Track and the Sherpa Track (Development Track). Both tracks have different working groups to address specific themes of the track with representatives from relevant parties,
The 3rd meeting of the Education Working Group (EdWG) was held at Bhubaneswar from 24th to 27th April 2023. SDI-B was chosen as one of the standalone institutions for organizing Jan Bhagidari events as precursor to the EdWG meetings. SDI-B organised various events like Swachhta Abhiyan, Slogan Competition, Quiz Competition, Skill Competition and Cultural Event.
The Skill Competition was organised on 18th April 2023 at SDI-B in four trades, i.e., Industrial Control, Electrical Installation, Industrial Welding, and Drafting using AutoCAD software that witnessed participation from many institutions located in and around Bhubaneswar. In all 66 candidates from 10 different institutes participated in the competitions. This event was followed by a cultural program to felicitate the winners besides showcasing student participation in events like Skit, Dancing, Singing, etc.
